The Baths of Virgin Gorda and snorkel
the Caves of Norman Island

The journey from St. John to Virgin Gorda takes you through "Sir Francis Drakes Channel", an area rich in history and legend. You'll motor through the same waters as pirates like Black Beard and Captain Kidd.

Once at the Baths of Virgin Gorda, you'll meander through mammoth rock formations that wind by cool grottoes filled with clear Caribbean water. The giant boulders are the result of ancient volcanic activity and weathered by eons of time. An hour or so at the Baths will burn lifetime memories into your brain.

The caves at Norman Island are reputed to b the inspiration for Robert Louis Stephenson's, "Treasure Island". You'll be able to swim into the caves. Often you may swim far enough into the Caves for daylight to dim and iridescent shrimp and fish to glow.

Trips to Virgin Gorda with a snorkel stop at the cave usually
run about $30 plus $25 - $35 for customs. Lunch not included.
